Sample Post

Hi All,

This is a sample POST. To create a post, click "NEW POST" (upper right). You can type, format, add images (PDF files count as images, I believe), and even add videos!

2 comments:

  1. To post a comment, click on "COMMENTS" and a text box will appear. Unfortunately, you cannot embed images into the comment box unless you're techie enough to use HTML formatting.

You will need to create a new blog POST if you want to add PDF documents of Behavior Charts, Contracts, etc., or share links to resources. Please label these posts clearly so we know what the post contains.

  2. Nora is a three year old female that comes from a middle income family. Her dad is a engineer and her mom is a music teacher. Nora lives in Eden Prarie in a middle income house and attends swim lessons. Nora is a happy, energetic and outgoing child. She also has a wonderful sense of humor and a bright personality. Nora will be entering preschool next year at the age of four.

The operational defintion for Noras behavior is that she will throw a tanturm that includes yelling and screaming. If Nora asks Claire, her sister, to participate in a acitvity and Claire refuses to praticipate in them then Nora will get upset and start to beg Claire to and beg, scream and cry. If Claire still reuses to participate in the acitivity then Nora will scream even louder and continue crying. If I ask Nora to calm down and tell her I will Play with her she screams at me and says,
"No , I dont want you to"!

The function of this behavior, I think, is that Nora is trying to remain the center of attention as long as she can since she isnt being focused on during playtime. Nora decides if she continues to yell then she will still have the attention on herself even if it isnt the activity she wanted to engage in.
